We are continuing our 30 Days of Gratitude! If you missed the scoop about why we’re celebrating, be sure to check out Episode One. Yesterday, we talked about how to be grateful even when you feel like you’re always messing up. Today, we’re going to be discussing Day Three’s Topic: I Will Never Be Good Enough.
I’m about to drop some major tea. TEA! The fact of the matter is that sometimes, I STILL feel like I’ll never be good enough for some people. I feel like no matter what I do, how much I give and how much I say, none of it will ever be good enough, and they will never be satisfied.
Can you relate? I’m sure you can. But let me help us all by talking about three things we should be grateful for even when we feel like we’re never be good enough.
Number One: Be grateful that you’re good enough for God. No, you’re not perfect, no, you don’t always do everything right – but the love of God is not, has not ever been and will not ever be predicated upon what you do. God’s love is unconditional, and you already have it.
Number Two: Be grateful that the approval of people does not change God’s purpose for your life. God never has to check with anybody to see if it’s okay to use you, to bless you or to do anything else for you. Of course we want those around us (especially those we love) to approve of us and accept us for who we are – but even if they don’t, God already did.
Number Three: Be grateful that God knows the difference. God knows the difference between someone else’s personal preference for your life and what needs to happen for your growth and development. Remember that wisdom from yesterday’s episode. God uses that same wisdom to show you what you need to change about yourself. Allow God to be the Potter who molds you into who and what you should be. Now don’t think God won’t use people in that process, because He definitely will… but when you tap into that wisdom, you’ll know the difference between people being used by God and people just speaking out of their own opinions… because you’ll be in tune with God, and God knows the difference. ♥
And there it is. It’s HARD feeling like you’ll never be good enough. It’s rough. It’s tough. But as long as you find a way to position yourself with gratitude, you’ll be absolutely fine.
Have an AMAZING day and be GREAT! I speak life over you and everyone and everything connected to you! Catch me tomorrow!
XOXO,
