We are continuing our 30 Days of Gratitude! If you missed the scoop about why we’re celebrating, be sure to check out Episode One. Yesterday, we talked about getting our minds right. Today, we’re going to be discussing Day Twenty- Six’s topic: What If I Told You…
Not that you’re not a careful listener already, but I REALLY need you to listen to this podcast. This podcast has the potential to shift your entire life. Whether it does or not… is completely up to you.
From now until Episode 30, I’m going to be reading excerpts from my book, “I Speak Life: A 30-Day Journey from Suicidal Ideation to Victorious Living”. Next month, I’m going to be sharing lessons I’ve learned this year, and I will be sharing some hot tea about my life. I’ll also share how to survive holidays with family you aren’t fond of, as well as giving you tools to empower you to make it through the holidays when you’re grieving the loss of a loved one. December is gonna be full of lots of nuggets and gifts, so get ready!
Let’s get back to today. Are you ready? Let’s go.
“Now there were four men who were lepers at the entrance to the gate. And they said to one another, ‘Why are we sitting here until we die? If we say, ‘Let us enter the city,’ the famine is in the city, and we shall die there. And if we sit here, we die also. So now come, let us go over to the camp of the Syrians. If they spare our lives we shall live, and if they kill us we shall but die.’ So they arose at twilight to go to the camp of the Syrians. But when they came to the edge of the camp of the Syrians, behold, there was no one there. For the Lord had made the army of the Syrians hear the sound of chariots and of horses, the sound of a great army, so that they said to one another, ‘Behold, the king of Israel has hired against us the kings of the Hittites and the kings of Egypt to come against us.’ So they fled away in the twilight and abandoned their tents, their horses, and their donkeys, leaving the camp as it was, and fled for their lives. And when these lepers came to the edge of the camp, they went into a tent and ate and drank, and they carried off silver and gold and clothing and went and hid them. Then they came back and entered another tent and carried off things from it and went and hid them.”
II Kings 7:3-8 (ESV)
What if I told you that the lepers surely would have died if they sat at the gate? What if I told you that the lepers got to eat and drink and carry off the treasures from the camp ONLY because they made a step? What if I told you that God orchestrated my life to be the way that it was so that I would sit on my couch on this day and write to you so that you could understand that you’re not alone in this at all, and that God is with you? What if I told you that you have come further in the last twenty-six days than you have in the last year of your life?
What if I told you that I KNOW within myself that you are much different and in a much better place than you were when you first started this journey? What if I told you that you will do for others what God has used me to do for you? What if I told you that there was a purpose for all of your pain, and that even now, you are beginning to see the beauty in what God was developing in the darkness? What if I told you that God has empowered you to stand in boldness and bring healing to someone else? What if I told you that nothing you went through was in vain? What if I told you that from this moment on, you can do anything you put your mind to do?
What if I told you that despite your flaws, despite your shortcomings, and despite your insecurities, you are loved in a way that surpasses any and every good thing on this earth. What if I told you that God was smiling right now? What if I told you that the grace of God is wrapping itself around you, hugging you, holding you, and strengthening you for the days ahead. What if I told you that many people DIED in what you just came out of? What if I told you that the hand of God is always there protecting you? What if I told you that you are the most amazing creation that God has ever made?
What if I told you that no matter what happens after today, you will ALWAYS be covered, and you will ALWAYS have the ability to go before God’s throne and obtain mercy and the strength to keep going. What if I told you that all that has happened over the past twenty-six days of transformation had very little to do with me and everything to do with you? What if I told you that God loves you enough to allow me to go through ALL OF what has happened to me just so that I could get to you? What if I told you that the sky was never the limit and that there are no limits? What would you do if I told you all of that?
I just did.
Now do it. No writing today. Just DOing. Let your life be your declaration today. Feel free to live freely.
Have an amazing day today. Show love to yourself AND others. Be GREAT! I speak life to you and everyone and everything connected to you! Catch me tomorrow!
XOXO,
Na’Kole ♥
